Learning networks are often called communities of practice. Most professional networks have an element of leading edge learning, as well as a generally accepted learning pathway for newbies.
Many communities of practice also focus their work on outcomes beyond the knowledge development of the group. A few of us have started a conversation about an energy adviser learning network and developed the existing conversation and resources into a potential grant application for South Australia.
